If your eye has fallen on this remote little edge-of-the-world corner, pretty much right smack in the middle of nowhere, and you've decided to discover what's really there, then you can bet a fistful of your Indonesian Rupiahs that you won't be running into loaded tour buses, eateries with template dishes adjusted for the traveling masses, or tourist traps mistakes waiting to happen.
What you will find in Anambas, apart from a kind-hearted, ever-generous local population, exciting history, rich culture and delicious cuisine, is a gin-clear azure-colored sea, dotted with dozens of breathtaking uninhabited paradise islands. Selfie anyone?
